I would add nothing to the water at this point. When the cycle is complete ammo and nitrites should go to zero. At this point all you can do is wait. You can't speed it up, but you can do more water changes if the nitrites are that high. Those products won't do anything for the nitrites. Just do small water changes to keep things somewhat in check until the beneficial bacteria does it's thing.

Thanks for the advice! They are still high and I have to resign myself to the fact that patience is a virtue in this instance. However, yesterday I did add some gravel from a friend's well-cycled tank. (See?! I am really having trouble waiting)!

On a positive note, I will have a lot of "fish" water to fertilize my flowers. And even better, that picture in the post above is not me lol
