Get rid of the janitor fish

Posted by gardenlover25 (My Page) on

My husband bought a janitor fish and put in our aquarium. It seems that the janitor fish does help in maintaining the cleanliness of the aquarium instead it keeps our aquarium
dirty. Thanks!

What species of fish did your husband buy? I've never heard of a janitor fish.

Janitor fish is from Pterygoplichthys species.

Oh. A Pleco. Wish the OP had said that to begin with.

Of course it's going to add to the total load in the tank. Did the OP think it would live on mulm and not excrete?
