Can dojo loaches live in Texas pond?

Hi everybody,

I would like to put a few golden dojo loaches in our 3000 gallon pond. I have 5 comets, a golden shiner, and 30 or so rosy minnows. Our pond is now 4 years old and not a new one. I have heard dojos are very friendly and make wonderful pets. Our winters are pretty mild here but it does gets hot in the summer. The pond is 3+ feet deep and has shade in the afternoon so water temp stays in the lower to mid 80s during hot spells. Our PH is on the high side tho, 8.5 but all the fish are doing fine with it. Could dojos cope with these conditions?

Thanks,

Michelle
