| i just tried to give my betta a pea,for the first time he tried to eat it, but spit it out why? help please.i cut it up small,he dose the same thing with his pellets. |

| He probably doesn't like peas. They are mainly meat eaters (bugs and such really), may take a nip or two of something green but not a diet for bettas. I had some pellets that were too big/or he just didn't like and wouldn't eat them. The Hiroki (not sure about spelling) are really small and seem to work best and are made for bettas. I had one that would only eat the freeze dried tubiflex worms (in the betta food section of store), wouldn't eat pellets of any kind. I have heard they can be picky eaters sometimes. |
