Changing light bulbs in a KOI pond

I think I know the answer to this but gonna try here before I tear apart my pond. When I bought my house it came with a pond that is about 3 feet deep. It has dual lights and one of the bulbs has burned out. Well not having installed the lights I have no idea how deep or where the leads run back to the box. But they are hidden and go in and out of several ledges. The installer left no room whatsoever to pull the lights above the surface of the water either. So my stupid question is do I have to have the fixture above the water to replace the bulb? I think yes but again lot of work saved if I don't. THANKS!!

I have no idea but would think you need to do it above water. It must be some type of sealed system to keep water away from electricity or you'll get zapped. Maybe call a place that does in ground pools and ask them....go to a place that has pond supplies and look at the lights they have in stock.
