Interested in getting into aquaponics ...

The common freshwater yabby (Cherax destructor) is the best known of the hundred or so freshwater crayfish species found in Australia...

I'm interested in raising yabbies (the BIG freshwater lobsters native to Australia) in the freshwater side of my aquaponics setup. I also plan to raise Tilapia as well. I'm fairly certain I can get my hands on the fish, but I have no idea what kind of permits and restrictions would be in place concerning bringing in a non-native species of crayfish.

Does anybody out there have any experience with this situation? Any advice would be quite appreciated!
