I put a baby clown loach in the tank on Sunday and it is now Thursday and there is no sign of it since day one. I know they are good at hiding. My main worry, other than if it is getting anything to eat, is if it died and is laying rotting under the gravel somewhere. That would pollute the tank of course and constitute a water change. Luckily there are no nasty fishes in there who bite the hand that feeds it.

So just for the sake of the health and welfare of my other fish (not to mention that inquiring minds want to know) would I be justified in moving the furniture around, shaking the plants and stirring the gravel a bit?
