help me on a new tank

im about to get a 55gal tank im making it a fresh water tank it a rectangle tank (wide) it was a stand allready. i want to know how many small-medium size fish i can fit in it and what should i condition my water with... basically everything i need to know and im going to get some live plantes to go with it. so what filters/heaters/air pump should i get????

How about getting a book on how to setup and keep aquariums ?? Might be a good idea.

I have a 55 gallon tank and i have 29 fish in mine

This helped alot getting back into this hobby after 15-20 yrs.I had lots of trouble getting the tank established then from when I was a kid. The area I live now has private wells that added to my problems of doing it the "old fashioned way" with a few danio's as starter fish. All I did was kill alot of fish. Read all the other articles as well.
