new betta fish

I got a betta fish yesterday and when I put the water in it was decently warm, but I just woke up and put my finger in the water and it's cold...he's in a fish bowl and the weather outside is really hot, I was thinking of putting him outside to warm the water but I'm leaving for school and get back at night, can I put him outside or is it too hot? Im a little worried because I've had bettas die due to water that's too cold, I also heard that they don't sell small enough heaters for about a gallon.

Is your fish alright?

When the power went out during an ice storm, a neighbor warmed water on her camping stove outside and added it to the aquarium (scooped water from aquarium into a big stainless bowl, added hot water, checked the temp of the water in the bowl and the aquarium.....etc). The fish made it.

They're native to Thailand mostly but indoor temperatures are usually fine. I just kept mine in the kitchen between 60 and 90 degrees f. It didn't complain at all!

yes like he said indoor temperatures is something else, but try to keep the water warm :)
