Preserving natural wood for aquarium use

I have a prized piece of driftwood that is almost 10 years old. It was in my aquarium until last January when I had to move my tank. Over time it has decayed quite a bit (duh). I set it in the garage and it has been dry for several months. I was curious what preservative or coating I could use to preserve it. Obviously it needs to be rated for underwater use and environmental friendly. One product I found is "Marine Boss" at http://www.weatherbos.com/BossProd/Marine/index.htm but I wanted to see if anyone has any first hand experience with preserving wood for aquarium use. Even though I'm in a major metroplex, I get the "deer in the headlights" gaze from most everyone I ask.
