I don't think it's a problem. I've seen it many times on many fish.

I had a large Pleco who would have these loooong poo chains hanging from him. It disconnects on its own. Constipation means they are NOT going poo, I thought. The string disconnects by and by.

This is completely normal, I think that they are like that because they pass the mucus-like lining of the intestine with it, not sure though, but it IS completely normal.
