Sorry Im still getting use to taking care of my aqaurium lol.

So far I have 1 betta with torn fins (which I am treating for) and 1 healthy alge sucker fish in a 1.5 Tetra gallon filterd aquarium.

Many problems have come up with my Betta fish and I know that rising the temperature to 78-80 would help. I dont want to shell out alot of money for a heater so any suggestions on where I can get a small ( 25 watt or less) heater thats cheap? Thanks for ur help! :D

Bettas don't need a heater, but the algae eater does. I really don't think you need an algae eater in that small of a tank... so you may want to consider donating the fish and saving yourself money on a heater. I've owned many bettas through the years with a couple living over 4 yrs. so you're okay.

Get a snail. Certain ones don't reproduce quickly.
We got a trapdoor snail for my daughter's 5 gallon betta tank because "Wanda" needed a maid. Snail does a great job.
