Bogwood vs mopani

Posted by greenclaws England (My Page) on

Hello again, which is best in a tropical tank, have seen articles that say mopani root is lightweight and rots easily and pollutes the tank. Others say true bogwood is far the best option....any preferences?
Thanks again,
Gill.

RE: Bogwood vs mopani

I personally prefer bogwood, but it can discolour your tank water if you don't leave it to soak thoroughly. After you have soaked it though, it takes many years to rot. Definitely bogwood.
