Repair problem with outside corner molding.

I'm attempting to repair an aquarium from a yard sale. It was not to difficult stop the tiny leak but the plastic outside corner molding around the bottom is cracked and broken in many places but quite difficult to remove. I do not want to just cover it cosmetically because some of the silicone under the molding is damaged. Do you have any suggestions.

You have to remove all the old silicone caulking first, very thoroughly. Then re-caulk with GE Silicon I (NOT II, that will poison the tank!) and let it cure 48 hours, until you don't smell vinegar smells any more. If you can't remove the plastic molding on the outside, consider covering it with wooden corner molding, which you can silicon right over the old stuff.
