 o
Wheels on tank stand?

Posted by jilljohn (My Page) on

I would like to make the stand for my 40 gal. aquarium easier to move around safely on my new laminate flooring. I was thinking of adding some industrial strength casters to the bottom of the stand which is wood, but to hold 500 pounds I would have to get 4 inch casters. Any other ideas or suggestions?

Hi
They make slides for heavy furniture which should work.
Another choice would be the casters they make for appliances. These types needn't be very high . gary

If you try to move a tank like that full of water the wave action will spill a lot of water out, and possibly rupture the seams of your tank!
