The dark and lighter shades green form the normal pattern on this particular aroid- alocasia, I think, though I can't think of the cultivar. Anyone know?
Today, though I noticed a very vibrant patch of neon yellow and stark white. Thought it was interesting. Anyone seen anything like it in this cultivar. This particular yellow practically glows.

Unfortunately it could be disease or a dead part of the plant.

I am of the opinion that is a hilo beauty. Not an alocasia but caladium or xanthosoma depending on the time of year that a botanist gets ahold of it. Seeing as one has not ever bloomed to anyones knowledge. Also it is not uncommon for a plant to throw off a leaf with some variegation. I had a X. lime zinger that had one leaf half white. Never did it again. Oh well!!!
