last march i brought something from bali, as it looks like the scindapsus they sell everywhere (yellow and green) i call it scindapsus. it was climbing a palmtree and the leaves where huge (25"). the piece i took had 10" leaves.
it started growing right away but the leave size diminished, maybe 8".
my mother said due to under fertilization. that was correct for 6 weeks while they werde on holidays. then i took it over and now it's fertilized normally. and the leave size is 5" at the most. i must say that summer 2005 was nil.
what can i do to get the leaves bigger again? i can offer humidity, 25C floor temp. in the batchroom (huge north window, no sun) or south window (sun in winter) but not so humid, in summer the sun is above the roof. and heaps of fertilizer of course. what i cannot offer are bali surroundings.
i can put it downstairs where it will get more sun. it will be difficult to get it outside in summer, i can try that but i guess it might catch a cold. and it's to heavy to move continuously.
it's hydroponic.
all advice is appreciated!
regards an thanx, martina
