Philodendrons are harmful and can be fatal to cats. If you have a way of keeping it out of reach of kitty, then all should be well. I just passed up a free kitten because I have too many plants that are harmful to them.:(

If you give it a moss pole to climb on , it will be happy.

Most of my plants are hanging. The little tag that came with it said I could hang it. That would be good here since the kitty loves plants. What can I put across the ceiling that wont look weird. But it can still climb. I have a bay window that would be perfect for it and it would look great acenting the window.

Hanging is a great option for this plant, as well. And in a bay window would look awesome. Once it's long enough, you may be able to secure it around the window so that it trails all around the window. This set up works well for keeping your plant friend out of reach of precious kitty.

Yes - one of my cat's chewed on a baby C. 'Ruffles', and he was sick for a couple of days. We called the vet and he said while it was a toxic plant, the level of toxicity was not enough to actually kill him. We did have to get rid of the plant. I now put my plants in places the kitties cannot reach or roam. All aroids are toxic to some degree.
