Its pretty common here where I live, you se it for sale a lot. I have some. Its a very nice plant, good small understory plant.

I think there were several posts about it last year. Use the search tool on the forum and the term "Frydek" and you will probably get some of the posts from last year discussing this plant. I don't have it, but would love to get it. I saw it somewhere on the net for sale, but I don't remember now where it was.

I have had a couple of pots of Frydek for several years but thought I had lost it this past winter. However, it is just starting to come back from the dead. I find Frydek to be slow and difficult for some reason. See a picture of it on my blog link below.

Nice site, Jon! The one I got last year when I posted above made it through the winter by being taken in the house with some other tender ones and grown all winter under an HID light I'd retired a few years ago. Shoulda repotted it this spring, but it's still nice with pretty minimal care. I had quite a few others in the ground that didn't come back until late last year--some barely showed up before cooler temperatures hit. I potted them up too and kept them under the light. That could get to be a problem in my limited space!
