Peace Lilies

Can anyone tell me if the Spathiphyllums (Peace Lilly) I find in stores such as Home Depot, in the small 4" pots, will grow into the monsters I see in some offices etc. These all seem to have large leaves with larger blooms. Will the HD variety eventually grow to a huge size (I hope so) or do I need to purchase a large variety from the start? thanks....

Hi,

There are a few varieties that get BIG. Like 'Mauna Loa.' Huge flowers and foliage. But the ones they sell at HD in smaller pots dont get that big. They do grow fast in the right conditions and will maybe get a few feet tall. Give them some morning sun and they will flower well.

I have a variety that has never gotten about 12", but I have seen the others that have been around 3 to 4 feet tall (including flowers).
