Unidentified Eggs in a Spathiphyllum

Hi folks, love your site. I am the proud new guardian of a Spathiphyllum plant which I got when it was delivered after a funeral. It is flowering beautifully, with 6 large flowers open on it. After I figured out it can't take direct sunlight, the plant was much happier.

Horror of all Horrors: I just discovered it has hundreds of little yellow eggs in the first 2 inches of soil. I took the plastic nursery pot out of the basket to see if it's roots were poking through the bottom (they're not, really) and then I lifted out the moss looking material from under the leaves to look at the soil and there are EGGS!!! I took one out and squoze it and POP! I am so freaked out now that this gorgeous plant might be killed by whatever is laying eggs in it. There are too many to pick out by hand. I can't find any actual bugs but maybe they're eating it's roots!!!! Can anyone please help me a) identify these things and b) get rid of them? Maybe I can re-pot it and shake all those eggs out in the process??

I would much appreciate any help as I love this plant so much.

Thanks!
