Do I need to protect my Dracunculus - 18 degrees?

Due to the incredibly early spring we've been having my Dracunculus is not only up but leafing out. Tonight and possibly tomorrow it's supposed to get down to 18 or 20 (F) - do I need to protect the plant? It's supposed to be hardy to 5b, which we are now, and came from a local gardener, but this is only my 2nd year with it, and I really want to see it do well. Thanks!

You should be ok but to be sure cover with a pot or cardboard box. Grew one for years before moving and never had any problems but never had temps this warm so soon. Once temps go back into the 30s at night it should be fine just dont forget to uncover after it warms up a bit in the AM. Temps to moderate here in the NE after tonight.

Hi Scott, I ordered a few for this Spring and was wondering what exposure they did best in for you? Also should I keep them away from areas I water frequently throughout Summer.
