A. konjac-Just how hardy is it?

I have become interested in aroids because the deer don't apparently eat them. For this reason I am interested only in hardy ones which will overwinter in my woodlands. Konjac looks like a gorgeous foliage plant, (I understand that the flower stinks but have interest in the leaves, not the flowers), but looking at various web sites, it is listed as hardy only down to zone 6, 7, 8, or even 9, but the 'aroid.org' link says down to -15F which is about a cold zone 4. Could this be reliably hardy here in a cold zone 7 with reasonably well draining soil and unreliable snow cover? I wouldn't care if they never bloom, just form leaves.
