Calla lilies... Worth it?

HI all. My daughter is getting married in Sept. and asked if i woud grow callas for the wedding. Never have grown them so i am wondering how well they bloom and will they keep it up until the beginning of sept.... I do have a large greenhouse 50 x 22 that i can keep them in if need be. But do they have a short season? Obviously i'd like lots of flowers by that date.

Calla are aroids. I grow tons of aroids but never any Calla.

I suggest you go to the International Aroid Society website and look them up. Better yet, find the link to the left of the IAS homepage and post a question on the Aroid l forum. You don't have to join the IAS to use the forum and there are growers as well as botanists from around the world that offer info on the site.

You will have to join Aroid l but the moderator is a friend and I know joining is a snap.
