watch out..growing these aroids can be addictive..
lol.. they are fun,interesting plants..and very diverse..
thats a great alocasia..and yes..they can given optimal
conditions get very large..
good potting mix is a well draining soil.. i use pumice with my soil less mix.. a good quality potting mix would work fine..
i would just add either pumice..or perlite..
while growing..they like to be watered well..not water logged..but dont let them dry out..
moderate sun..and warmth..dont know where u r at..but here in utah..i dont put my tropicals out until june..

sounds like its a small plant..im sure a gallon size
pot would be fine until summer .. then you'll need to
decide whether to put in large pot..or just plant in a garden
i will pot up my EE's soon.. then i haul them out to get sun..and bring back in.until nites are solidly in 50sF..
then i plant them all in my gardens..
if u can take pics and post..so we can see how it does..
