dividing Zantedeschia?

I have some Zantedeschia that I dug up when I moved a couple of months ago. They are covered in what seems like an abnormally-large number of offsets. When trying to pot the plants today, I found out how easy it is to break apart the offsets from the parent. I was wondering if it is necessary to let them dry, and for how long, before trying to plant them again? I don't want them to become infected. Would it be a good idea for the general well-being of my plants to remove the rest of the offsets?
