I am growing lots of these from a whole infructesence given to me . I floated them in a 20 litre pail , and also put many in 500 litre ponds my neighbour grows water lillies in . The ones I potted up are thriving . I was told to wait until the seed had some green leaves before potting . It will have heaps of roots by then . Peter is a generous bloke , I have recvd seeds from him a few times of other aroids .

Peter also sent me a pack of the large seeds, which are now floating in water. They have all sprouted. What I did the last time I was really successful (i.e. grew one up to blooming maturity) is I potted them up in pure sphagnum moss and set the pots in a tray with weak soluble fertilizer solution. I changed the solution regularly and the plants grew amazingly fast. My largest one was potted into a 10 gallon pot with sphagnum moss and a product called Turface (like little granules of terra cotta), and this pot was then put into a 20 gallon pot with no holes, but with a drain spigot installed so I could refresh the water periodically. That is the one that bloomed for me years ago.
