I have A. palaesitum and if yours is anything like mine, there isn't much you need to do. just let them be after they go dormant. mine are in the ground here in zone 10, but yours should do fine if there is enough soil and mulch to protect from any cold nights.

i have fields of arum maculatum growing just outside my garden (near-ish London). In fact, they're quite a weed! i don't think you would really have a problem growing them outdoors as they take temps way down below freezing and seem to be OK.

i'll send you some tubers for a few paeonifolius seed, if you are interested. I suppose you could dig them up but i really think they would be fine outdoors in your area, partial shade but probably not full sun and a lot of water in thick, poorly drained soil. (but not too poorly drained)

i'm pretty sure they're hardy here, the problem is i don't have a garden (third floor apart.)I'd have to keep it in a pot and store the tuber in the fridge in winter. i'm just wondering if the leaves die automatically in the fall and it goes dormant like an arisaema, if i have to keep it in a pot of dirt or can i just store the tuber with some moss in the fridge. does it even need a cool period or can i just keep it really dry during winter (or do i have to keep it only moderatly dry)?
