Colocasia vs. Alocasia

Can anyone give me a brief guide to distinguishing Alocasias from Colocasias?

I'm sitting in a gorgeous landscaped vacation rental in Hilo, HI, and there are Aroids everywhere. Sure would like to be able to ID them.

I'm taking pictures as fast as I can, so you might get a flood of "Help - ID needed" messages when I get home.

Thanks, Gerry

RE: Colocasia vs. Alocasia

Alocasia leaves for the most part are upright in the larger varieties and some are very colorful with distinct veins.

Colocasia leaves bend back. A google search will yield many photos.
