My Dracunculus vulgaris flowered and is now dieing back. I have it in a pot but dont want to store it that way all year. Can these guys be taken out of the soil and stored in a box on on a shelf? Or do they need to be in soil? If in soil , does it need to be kept moist?

Thank you

Mine flowered about a month ago and is now sending up its first petiole of the season.

If you can I would encourage growing it for the season.

I do not think you are referring to a Dracunculus vulgaris. A Dracunculus vulgaris first sends up a petiole then leaves then a flower. But never mind. I remember that when I purchased it, it came in dry in a net bag. Thank you though.
