| My 2 Alocasia calidora has put out these flower stalks. As seen in these photos, the top part of the flower bulbs withered and died. The other photo shows the flower (on a different plant) just opening. What caused the flowers to dry up like that? The rest of the plants look healthy.

| To me that appears completely natural. It is the lifecycle of the inflorescence. The spathe of the inflorescence in a lot of other members of Araceae fall off after pollination or once past bloom. This is a great question to pose to the members of the IAS at the new forum. Check out the link below. |
