Any of you aroid enthusiasts growing Arisaema lobatum? Dan?
I got one of these originally by accident through a friends Chen Yi order. It was the first up for three years with a coppery spathe and coppery, mottled pseudostem. Neat! As it was a lone stem (no seed set), I bought it a "partner" in fall of 2005 from a friend who placed a Chen Yi order. Unfortunately, a wet spring in 2005 rotted this and the new one came up distorted.
This year, there is a tiny stem from th original, and the newer one came up although did not yet bloom. Hope!
In addtion, another plant purchased through a friend from Chen Yi seems to be a lobatum. It was distorted for a year but bloomed the last two. However, it has a pale, almost white spathe and very light colored pseudostem. I have also seen pictures of this species with bluish leaves and leaves with beautiful, silver splashes. Seems to be very variable and interesting. Anyone else have experiences with it?
