A variety of Arum italicum. They have white flowers in late spring, followed by red berries.

It just tried to bloom.. the flowers almost made it but then we hit a week of almost 90F weather and the plants and flowers just flopped.

That's the problem growing Arum italicum..they love cool temps..the same thing happens here,..every spring they pop up, then just as it starts to flower, the temps rise and there goes the buds..and most of the time, the foliage, too. Then they return in fall, but winter comes along, so good bye Arums..oh well, maybe one yr..Toni

Has anyone tried growing these indoors?

I never have.. but if anyone wants to try I have a ton of starts for trades :-)

I used to like seeing all the bright orange spikes of berries popping up where these grow.

I tried them indoors, before I found out they're also invasive weeds here in my area (they have no problems blooming and setting seed in our cool nights).

They didn't like being inside at all. Probably both too warm and too dry for them.
