EE 'uppie' stalk too long

I have a small plant that was overwintered in a 6" pot. It grew spindly and the stalk is bare and about 10 inches long.

My questions are:

1.) Can I chop the stalk off at the soil level, and hope for new growth from the soil line?

2.) Can the stalk be cut up in small pieces and propagated?

3.) Can the growing tip be planted in it's own pot?

Has anyone ever done this or even tried?
