I grow them in large plastic pots. Good drainage, rich soil amended with phosphate and Ironite. I provide strong support for the petiole. At the end of the season I leave the leaf on as long as possible so the nutrients can drain to the tuber. I remove the tubers from the soil and thoroughly rinse and soak in systemic fungicide. Dry well and store in paper bags in the house. Plant in the spring when it warms up well.
