Calla lily newbie--foliage green all summer?

Hi...I have three Green Goddess calla lilies that I'm thinking about using as the centerpiece of a huge pot in a prominent spot in my garden. I've never grown callas before so I'm not sure whether or not they look good all summer. I usually put elephant's ears in this spot because I can count on them looking great right up till frost. Will the callas do the same? Or do they get a bit ratty looking after bloom? The area is mostly dappled shade all day, plus a little direct sun at the end of the afternoon.......Thanks!

My Callas look pretty good all summer. Although my summer is shorter than yours. I should say my Callas look really good from May until the end of Aug. Or until first frost.

OK, that's encouraging...Thanks! I'm mainly worried that I might be replacing a 'sure-fire' show (the EE's) with something iffier---yet I'm dyin' to put these calla lilies where I can really show them off!

I'm down in Texas....I've had callas in full sun for the last few years and the folliage looks great all summer long. I even planted some especially this year to camouflage the ugly cement well in the front yard.
