My Arum italicum did the same thing. Faced towarded the fence. I had to almost stand on my head to get this picture.

Seems that they are sometimes very shy. Some of mine that have very showy spathe's are planted in a 1-2 gallon sunken pot/within a pot. If they face the opposite direction, I remove the mulch and rotate the pot so that they face the desired direction. Sometimes that isn't possible, when a tuber has offsets and multiple spathes, they invariably face opposite directions!

LOL! My arum italicum did the same thing too. So far the jips are behaving themselves. Wonder if you can dig them and turn them around when they are in dormancy? Probably would not make a bit of difference.
