What is this?

My mother received this as a gift, though didn't take care of it. It was in pretty sad shape and I just planted it in the front of her house. I never watered or fertilized it, fast forward to today. Hippeastrum -commonly called amaryllis. If you post to the Amaryllis forum someone will know the name.
