I went on holiday a while ago, and even though i left the soil saturated with water, my titan arum dried out. The leaves were only showing slight digns of distress, but the tuber was shrivelled and the roots had all died. I discarded the tuber and put one leaf in a glass of water, and one in soil. The one in soil died, but the one in the glass of water grew roots, and I am now growing it hydroponically. It took a few weeks to root.
