This is Alocasia x calidora, pure and simple. No A. wentii genetic material anywhere near it. This is one of the results of a cross I did between A. gageana and A. odora. I called it A. x calidora because at that time I was under the (mis)conception that A. gageana was really A. 'california'.
thank you very much it is wonderful to talk to the person who bred a plant. they were really looking awful when i got it they were in a clearence bin i think they were nearly dead but they are doing ok they have both produced another healthy looking leaf. thanks again for a wonderful plant and keep up the good work!! steve
