I just know lots of heat and humidity. From what Wilbert H. told me he could not keep his alive, but I think Bryan of this forum has had one for a year now in SD so he could comment. This is a tough species from my understanding so I hope you have grown many other species to give you lots of experience. Best of luck and let us know how you do :o) Dan

Dan is right, I do have some experience with this one. I was also told that it was a difficult species but mine seemed to thrive. Then all of a sudden the petiole rotted at the base. I have a lot of plants now and I have seen the same thing happen to a napalensis. So I would say give it a try, its a great looking plant. Just make sure you have good draining soil, but that rule should be used with all of your Amorphophallus.
