In my experience, all Syngoniums eventually vine and, in vining, they also change color, mostly to green. There is one (S. williamsii) which has silvery variegation and I believe that this one retains that even after vining. If you plant these so they can go up a totem, they will eventually produce larger compound leaves. Those of us who live where we can plant them outside permanently sometimes see blooms and even fruit/seeds!

Yes, Florida residents are so fortunate. I have a few varieties and the rest are larger plants and seem that they will vine in time. These just seem to grow differently than the rest of the family. :)
