Alocasia's will go dormant when the temperatures reach 50 degrees. I never heard of a time limit between dormancy and sprouting so I can not answer that question. I can tell you in my experience they wake up when the temperatures are 65 degrees and above. So like me you just have to be patient they will wake up soon enough.

I brought in an alocasia last fall and didn't know they went dormant. It bit the dust I decided and threw it out. Darn!
