My experience leads me to the conclusion the the "Hilo Beauty" is a Colocasia, not an Alocasia. Morphologically, in every respect that I have examined, this plant matches Colocasia far more than it does Alocasia. The only other possibility I can imagine is that it is a Caladium, or is a possible hybrid between Caladium and Colocasia. If I could see what the inflorescence is like, I could be much more definitive.
