I have always enjoyed calla lilies, but have never grown any until this year. I have beautiful yellow calla flowers and yellow-spotted leaves. The plant is, thus far, very healthy and has been producing well. I have now taken note that two of the yellow flowers have lost the spadix, leaving a dark spot where it was, and have begun to turn as green as leaves, and opened up (the stem and all) into a "leaf" instead of remaining a flower. I've never seen or heard of such a thing, but am curious if anyone has an explanation.
