Funny aroid photo

I hope this photo shows up. I'm not sure I remember how to add a picture. Anyway, I was taking photos of a sauromatum that was blooming. It had plenty of flies on it and when I snapped the picture I caught a fly in mid air comming in for a landing. It looks like he's on final approach heading right down the runway.

Hi Carolyna,

Ha ha that is really funny. He sure looks like he's on a mission. I had my first aroid ever, d. vulgaris, and it just flowered. I didn't know how many flies it would bring, and then all of the black widow spiders setup camp nearby. Kinda scary. I can almost hear some star wars theme music to this picture....deh deh deh...he he

When I processed the photo I couldn't believe that my camera captured that fly in flight! This is my first year of blooms on my amorphs. The Konjac bloomed and then this one bloomed. I've had drac. vulgarises for about 30 years but they don't bloom all that often for me. Maybe next year. This last one, which I think is the sauromatum, is by far the big winner in the fly category! The number of flies was amazing! We only got a few for the Konjac.
