Amorphophallus problem

Posted by markpajak (My Page) on

Hello,

I recently received an apple sized A.paeoniifolius tuber that was in the process of producing a leaf but the leaf got damaged and rotted off once planted. The bulb seems ok and is still growing roots. I have scraped of all of the soft tissue. Will it be able to produce another leaf? How should it be treated?

Here is a link that might be useful: Picture of plant before rot set in

RE: Amorphophallus problem

Not sure since I'm new to growing these but to me it looks like some of those are too wet. They need well drained soil mix. I have 4 Konjacs, 2 golf ball sized ones and 2 7", 4+ pounders.
