Mystery of the mushy A. Concinnum

I was doing some cleaning up at 13:00 hours when I dicovered the collapsed plant. I picked it up, but it fell between my fingers into a pile of slime. I dug the plant to find the corm almost entirely rotten. A small section was still growing and had small eyes starting to grow. I cleaned it up, dried it off and replanted it. I doubt it will live. This could become a homicide case. I must find the killer before it is too late for my other arisaemas. It may have something to do with the inclement weather. It has been very wet lately and the plant did sit in water for a day. Arisaemas typically are moisture tolerant and some even need wet soil so I am pretty stumped by this case.
