Very lucky escape

Some of you who post here regularly are from the midatlantic region and have some idea of the effects our week of rain had. Last saturday I discovered a fungal infection on my 2 year old Konjac. But I had to go to work so couldn't get fungicide. I work the late shift at a restaurant so going out after work was out. Sunday was nixed too and by monday everything in my small greenhouse and all the plants on the patio had eruptions of fungus!!!

Thank you 'Southern States.' and Thank you ORTHO! my plants are now free of fungus!!! One treatment cleared it up.

I was worried because while nothing I have is priceless or even rare, it would take me a lot of time, effort and $$ to replace the bromeliads and amorphs. Anyone else had fungus problems over the last two weeks?

I was just saying something to the effect that I'm surprised that I haven't had a fungus problem because of the weather. We've had so much rain and high humidity that nothing's had a chance to dry out. I'm glad you were able to get rid of it.

Please send us some of that rain. We are more than 7 inches below normal and we haven't hit the dry season yet.

Sorry, the rain passed off to the north and east some time ago. It is stifeling here in NORVA. We even had some blackouts today, very probably due to overuse of electricity . . . well that or construction.

Yes, we are suffering the same problem - transformers are blowing because of maximum usage right now. Fires everywhere; people are dying from the heat. Children cannot play outside on the playground because the equipment is too hot for them to get on (up to and over 130*). Today will be 108; tomorrow 110. It's awful. I cannot even get outside for more than 10 minutes at a time and my plants are just burning up right now.

Hopefully we will get a cool down this weekend.
