| Hi All -
I'm kind of new to Calla Lillies and need some help. I bought three pots (don't know the exact names)from 2 different sources and planted them in a north facing garden about one month ago. At first the leaves yellowed and the plants drooped but, now they look really healthy and especially the one bunch produces a continuous supply of buds. But, unfortunately the buds don't open and eventually the entire bud stem bends to the ground. I keep them moist but not wet. They are planted in partial shade, getting about 4-5 hours of early evening sun. I had one a couple years ago that was planted in all day hot sun and it did just fine, so, I don't believe these are getting too much sun. Does anyone have any idea of what I may be doing wrong? Thanks for any tips, helps, suggestions you can offer ~ |

| Not sure- but I would use your fingers and lightly tug the foliage- it shouldn't pull out- also feel for the top of the bulb if you can. If the leaves pull out or the top feels mushy then they are rotting....a condition they do not recover from. Karen |

| Look in one of the buds and see if there are seeds- should look like a little corncob. |
